Courses and Curriculum
The Department of Biological and Health Sciences prepares you to enter careers or graduate programs in current and emerging health-related fields.
Field Experience
As a Health Science major, you will be required to complete a credit-bearing professional field experience (internship) that serves as a culminating experience linking academic preparedness to an experience that matches your career goals and aspirations. Students work with their academic advisor to find an internship site that is aligned with the student’s career goals. Most students use the field experience to meet the observation hour requirement set by graduate healthcare education programs. Most Health Science programs require at least 3 credits of internship.
