College of Health, Science, and Technology Strategic Plan

Welcome to the College of Health, Science, and Technology’s Strategic Plan, which lays out a roadmap to reaching our vision in a way that is consistent with our mission and values. How are we developing this plan? Through collaboration!

Working together, students, staff, faculty, and other college stakeholders have defined our mission (what we do, whom we serve, how we contribute), our vision (what we want to achieve), and the core values that guide our decision making.

Committee members have also identified five strategic priorities — critical areas where the college must take action to achieve our mission and vision.

Please check back and follow along as we identify specific goals for each strategic priority, take action to advance these goals, and document our accomplishments. Note that this living and adaptable plan will change regularly to ensure it remains relevant and responds to the evolving needs of our campuses, communities, and the Commonwealth.

Strategic Priorities

Enhance student academic success through comprehensive personalized support, equitable access to high impact experiences, and academic innovation. Equip students with the skills, experiences, and networks necessary to excel in their professional journeys through enhanced professional development, industry connections, and academic innovation.

Drive enrollment growth, retain students, and position the institution as an attractive choice for students interested in health, science, and technology.

Promote open communication within and across every level of the college to cultivate collaboration, promote transparency, facilitate discussion, build community, engage faculty and students, and ensure clear dissemination of information to all stakeholders.

Create a supportive, well-resourced environment that empowers faculty and staff to thrive personally and professionally. Develop and manage the resources and infrastructure necessary to support academic initiatives, enhance student success, and keep pace with evolving professional and technological standards. Develop a comprehensive and sustainable technology plan that aligns technology investments with educational goals, ensuring that the institution can deliver state-of-the-art instruction while effectively managing resources.

Enhance community-building efforts at all levels to create a strong sense of belonging, engagement, and connection for students, faculty, staff, and alumni and expand outreach and partnerships with surrounding communities.
